J.LO FULFILLS HER CIVIC DUTY

Jennifer Lopez had jaws dropping yesterday when she reported to jury duty at the Beverly Hills Courthouse.

Her experience with ordinary folk was short however– after J.Lo and her assistant fiddled around on their BlackBerrys for an hour in the jury holding room, they were told to go home as the case was dropped.

Should the case have gone forward, Lopez would have been paid $17.20 a day for her service.  Pretty bleak, no doubt, but at least then she’d have an excuse to cop when her latest Spanish-language album inevitably flops.

Hmm… I kind of like the thought of her doing an everyday citizen’s duty that ended up wasting an hour of her time. It’s so… normal :).

I’m really surprised that she did this!! Normally celebs minders would come up with an excuse to get them out of doing something as boring and normal as this.

Oh please, she did it for attention. Why would the photogs be in the court house before she walked in? I am surprised a place like a courthouse would allow photogs in actually. Usually security is pretty tight.

$17.20??? It’s only 6 bucks for a day here in Texas! I may have to move to Cali for jury duty!
